About Our Stucco

We use a hard coat stucco system that is no longer widely used due to more simplified methods of stucco application such as the Dryvit® system. Our hard coat system consists of:

bulletFelt Paper
bulletGalvanized Lath
bulletScratch Coat
bulletBrown Coat
bulletFinish Coat

Our finishes may be done either with an acrylic-based finish or with a color cement finish which creates the look and feel of stone.

All detail work is also crafted using our system of hard stucco. Nowhere in the process do we use any foam. All detail work is crafted using a super strong cement mix (4000 psi or better) which includes chopped fiber. Detail work may include all types of crown moldings, columns, fireplaces, etc..

Why Use A Hard Coat System Rather Than A Dryvit® System?

While both systems are good, when used in appropriate applications, the hard coat system is more durable, allows for more options of finishes and has no limit as to detail items that may be used (due to weight restrictions, etc.). Our stucco mix is a strong (3000 psi) cement mix made with sharp, coarse sand and chopped fiber to reduce cracking.

Dryvit® is a trademark of Dryvit Systems, Inc. For more information on Dryvit products click here.
